I. AGENDA 21 In
the Hands of Children and Students
| The name “Agenda 21” can be explained this way: Agenda is what has to be done, and the number 21 refers to the 21st century. The local Agenda 21 is a strategic action plan for a local development which includes the “sustainable development principle”. This principle was adopted by national governments on the conference in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil in 1992. |
|
II. Ecosystem of Forest
| There are a lot of regularities and laws in the forests that we can observe. These laws of the forest can help us understand not only the action that takes place around us but also find our places both in the nature and among the people. |
|
III. Learning about the Environment
and Environmental Protection
| Some changes in the enviroment take place on the golbal scale, and international agreements need to be concluded in order to cope with them. There are, however, a lot of things in our neigbourhood that we we can influence ourselves. But first of all we have to learn closely about the environment in order to know how to protect it. |

More than 4,200 people visited the festivals "The Earth Day" and "The Celebration of the falling leaves".

BENEFIT CAMPAIGNS |
Jubilee Silent Auction 2000
For the fifth time the jubilee Silent Auction 2000 took place on 1 December
2000 in representative premises of Renaissance Prague Hotel. Tereza offered
more than 120 gifts to 85 auction guests. This Silent Auction was only possible
with our partners´support. The gifts at the Silent Auction encompassed hotel
stays in European major cities, applied art, graphics and art photography, subscription
to magazines, environmental publications, cosmetics, clothing, compact discs
etc.
Small public auction
Because of a big success of the small public auction in 1999, we decided to
organize a similar one in 2000. At this small public auction the sponsorship
"A general sponsor of Labyrinth" for two days was auctioned (KČ 10.
889, 60). Further art photography "Herple" by Roman Sejkot (sold for
KČ 8 000) and a little bronze sculpture "Duše vtažená" (sold for KČ
43,000) by Olbram Zoubek.
Preview
Part of the Silent Auction was a small preview of photographs from of the Mediterranean
Expedition 2000. This Expedition was held at the end of July.
Novelties
There were some at The Silent Auction 2000. In the first instance it was the
new form of The Silent Auction - a delicious dinner served by the Hotel Renaissance
cook and there was a brand new computer presentation of Tereza during the Auction.
Results - Earnings
The total earning amazed everybody: The amount of KČ 225 000 is the highest
one so far. This amount was used for the environmental education at schools
and youth organizations according to the articles of the Association Tereza.
Tereza thanks everybody for the support and help and is looking forward to seeing you at the Silent Auction 2001.
General
Sponsor for One Day
On the occasion of the opening of Labyrinth Tereza announced on 9 September
1999 a new campaign called "A General Sponsor for one Day". The aim
of the campaign is to devote a sum of KČ 5.443,80 that is the cost for one day
of operation in the Labyrinth. This seemly low amount multiplied by 365 is an
incredible KČ 1,987,000, which represents its operational costs for one year.
The first General Sponsor (in this case for a week) became Prague Renaissance Hotel and Marriot Prague Hotel - long time patrons of the Association Tereza
General Sponsors for One Day:
Mr. Libor Ambrozek - the
Member of Parliament of CR
Ms. Marie Balatová - joint owner of the building firm Balli
Mr. Martin Fejk - a member of the Advisory Board of Tereza
Ms. René Earle - Consul for the Press and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Embassy
U.S. Embassy Prague
Mr. Pavel Rosendorf - director of KPNQwest
Ms. Jana Ledvinová - executive director of Tereza
Credite Suisse first Boston
…And a General Sponsor who wished to remain nameless
The General Sponsors devoted in total KČ 51,716,10- it means the costs of 9,5 days of operation in the Labyrinth.
